New Delhi, July 16: After ‘Modi hai to mumkin hai’ slogan of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Lucknow is ringing a new brand statement of ‘Yogi hai toh yakin hai’.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi too had raised the slogan of ‘Modi hai to mumkin hai’ on a number of occasions, while addressing public meetings. The BJP’s calculated ‘Brand Modi’ building exercise had involved making the party workers raise the slogan of ‘Modi hai to mumkin hai’ on all possible occasions.

Now, ‘Brand Yogi’ too appears to have invented a suitable slogan to connect with the people. ‘Yogi hai toh yakin hai’ slogan is now being offered to establish ‘Brand Yogi’ as a face of credibility and reassurance for the people.

On Tuesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath allayed ‘demolition fears’ of residents of Pantnagar and Indraprasthanagar. He assured families affected by the Kukrail River Revival Project, saying stay “rest assured, and go home happily”.

“Putting red marks on private houses included in the flood plain zone are not justified; fix accountability on those who do this,” the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said in a media statement quoting Adityanath’s instructions to the officials.

“With lit up faces, the affected families said, ‘Yogi hain toh yakeen hain’,” the CMO claimed in a media statement. It added that the CM told the officials to “visit the area, meet the residents, alleviate their fears, and enhance public facilities”.

“The Chief Minister on Tuesday allayed the fears of residents in Pantnagar, Indraprasthanagar, Rahimnagar, and other areas, who have been troubled for the past month by misleading reports about the demolition of their houses,” added the CMO.

It also stated that “the floodplain zone of the river has been marked in accordance with NGT orders. Private land is also included in the floodplain zone. However, there is currently no need or proposal to vacate the private land. There is no matter under consideration for the demolition of private buildings on private lands”.

The CMO quoted Adityanath, saying that “the signs put on the buildings during the floodplain zone markings have caused fear and confusion among the public. Emphasizing that there cannot be any justification for putting the red mark on houses”.

Speaking to the affected families, the Chief Minister assured that if any building constructed on private land falls within the riverbed development zone and has certified private ownership, it will only be acquired after providing proper compensation according to the rules.

“Following their meeting with the Chief Minister, the relieved families expressed their gratitude and chanted slogans of ‘Yogi hai toh yakin hai’ (With Yogi, there is confidence),” said the CMO in the media statement.

To revive the Kukrail River and make it pollution-free, the Irrigation Department recently marked the floodplain zone in compliance with NGT orders. The said action aligns with the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) notification issued in 2016.

Two zones of the Kukrail River have been marked: the riverbed and the floodplain zone. “The riverbed has been designated at a width of approximately 35 meters, while the floodplain zone extends up to 50 meters from the riverbank, as marked by the Irrigation Department,” added the CMO in the statement.
